Job summary

Burj Line Builders seeks a hands-on Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design for water and wastewater treatment equipment and packaged systems. You will develop GADs, fabrication drawings, and equipment specifications, coordinating with vendors and fabrication teams.

Ideal candidates have 8–10+ years in mechanical design for EPC projects, with strong knowledge of pressure vessels, piping, tanks, and 3D tools like AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 8–10+ years of relevant mechanical design and engineering experience, preferably in water treatment EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of pressure vessel design, process piping, storage tanks, and industrial equipment fabrication.
• Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3, API 650, AWWA, and relevant ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design and engineering for water and wastewater treatment equipment and packaged systems.
• Prepare and review General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), fabrication drawings, mechanical datasheets, and equipment specifications.
• Design and review pressure vessels, storage tanks, filters, skid-mounted equipment, and piping systems.
• Perform mechanical calculations for vessels, tanks, supports, nozzles, pumps, and equipment foundations.
• Review piping layouts, isometrics, material specifications, and equipment interfaces.
• Coordinate fabrication activities, vendor drawings, welding documentation, inspections, FAT, and hydrotesting.
• Prepare material take-offs (MTOs), bills of materials (BOMs), and technical procurement documents.
• Support site installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final documentation.
