Job Title - Senior Mechanical Technical Office Engineer:

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Design Leadership: Oversee the design of mechanical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and desalination facilities including piping, HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
• Technical Review & Approval: Evaluate and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
• Coordination & Integration: Collaborate with electrical, civil, and instrumentation teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
• Hydraulic & Equipment Sizing: Perform calculations for pump selection, pipe sizing, pressure loss, and flow rates using tools like Pipe Flow Expert or Bentley WaterCAD.
• Construction Support: Respond to RFIs, provide technical clarifications, and support site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure mechanical works meet quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Guide junior engineers and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 8–15 years of experience, with a strong background in water infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and hydraulic modeling software.
• Familiarity with international and regional codes.
