Job summary

An engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Jeddah. The role involves supervising mechanical works, ensuring design compliance, and coordinating with teams on a major food industry project. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 10–12 years of experience, and must have strong knowledge of relevant codes. Immediate availability and Iqama transfer are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10–12 years of experience, including 5+ years in Saudi Arabia.
  • Previous involvement in industrial projects is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and Saudi Building Code.

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong consultancy experience and a proven background in industrial and factory projects, including design and site supervision. The selected candidate will work full-time on a major food industry project.

Location: Jeddah Industrial Area (Modon 3)

Responsibilities
  • Supervise mechanical works on site: HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, dosing systems, evaporators, water treatment, LPG, etc.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and ensure design compliance.
  • Coordinate with electrical and structural teams to resolve site issues and avoid design conflicts.
  • Monitor and enforce safety, QA/QC, and local code compliance.
  • Support testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Liaise with the contractor and project management team to align execution with design.
  • Prepare inspection reports, snag lists, and regular progress updates.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10–12 years of experience, including 5+ years in Saudi Arabia, preferably with reputable engineering consultancies.
  • Previous involvement in industrial projects (factories or food facilities) is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and Saudi Building Code.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Must have design background and site supervision experience.
  • Ready to join immediately and transfer Iqama.
