Job description

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Department: Engineering

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Job Type: Full-time.

Reports To: Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and improve all aspects of the product through the continuous cycle of BICMD (Benchmark, Identify, Correct, Monitor, Develop).
  • Perform periodic, comprehensive TQM system audits through sampling and present findings to illustrate the TQM system's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Continuously improve TQM and production lines based on functional quality, service, cost requirements, and waste reduction through lean management practices.
  • Oversee mechanical maintenance management of production lines, improving all aspects of PL (Production Line) through the constant BICMD cycle.
  • Perform periodic, comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) system audits for production lines through sampling and present findings to illustrate the PL system's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Review and develop mechanical maintenance products in line with customer requirements and stakeholder needs, ensuring the achievement of performance, safety, and quality functional standards.
  • Consolidate, prepare, and assess mechanical facilities maintenance development in accordance with the established schedule.
  • Monitor and ensure the timely completion of mechanical maintenance development in accordance with the established schedule.
  • Monitor and ensure the achievement of mechanical maintenance KPIs and key financial indicators in line with set targets and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, TQM implementation, and production line management.
  • Proven track record of leading and executing continuous improvement initiatives within production environments.
  • Experience with mechanical maintenance audits, preventive maintenance strategies, and system optimization.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in mechanical systems design, preventive maintenance, and production line troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles and lean management techniques.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards, environmental regulations, and best practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership qualities to mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing multiple projects and tasks.
