A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 15 years of experience to oversee projects in Qiddiya, Riyadh. You will provide on-site supervision, ensure compliance, and mentor junior staff while managing HVAC and other mechanical systems. WSP is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 15 years of experience in overall responsibility of supervision, coordination of construction, inspection, testing and commissioning for project based in Qiddiya, Riyadh.
Provide on-site supervision and technical support for mechanical construction activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, hydraulics, and fire systems.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that mechanical works are executed according to project plans, schedules, and budget constraints.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Review and approve mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements submitted by contractors and subcontractors.
Coordinate with other disciplines, such as electrical, civil, and architectural, to ensure integration and coordination of mechanical works with overall project requirements.
Resolve technical issues, discrepancies, and conflicts related to mechanical design and construction activities, and provide timely solutions to keep the project on track.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, highlighting key accomplishments, challenges, and upcoming activities.
Conduct site meetings with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to discuss project progress, issues, and resolutions.
Mentor and coach junior engineers and site staff, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to enhance their skills and performance.
Strong technical knowledge and expertise in HVAC, hydraulics, fire systems, codes, standards, and practices.
Proven experience in site supervision, construction management, and quality control/assurance for projects such as universities, hotels, residential buildings, and office complexes.
Monitor daily mechanical site activities such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and piping systems.
Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering
Minimum of 15 years relevant experience
Proven experience in electrical engineering on construction sites.
In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
