As a pivotal component of Qiddiya's ambitious development under Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, the Senior Manager - Strategic Vendor Management will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing vendor relationships and performance across the organization. This position is designed for a candidate with extensive experience in vendor management and procurement strategies, focused on fostering strategic partnerships that drive operational excellence and value creation.
Key Responsibilities- Specializes in managing and overseeing IT contracts. Develops, negotiates, and reviews contracts with IT vendors, ensuring that terms and conditions are favorable and aligned with organizational goals.
- Manages relationships with IT vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the delivery of goods and services according to agreed-upon terms.
- Collaborates with procurement and legal teams to optimize vendor partnerships.
- Responsible for managing key vendor relationships, driving value creation, and mitigating risks associated with vendor partnerships to support the organization's objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, ensuring alignment on strategic objectives and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their vendor needs and align vendor capabilities accordingly.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms, commitment to quality and delivery, and compliance with local regulations.
- Lead initiatives for vendor innovation and technology partnerships, exploring opportunities for new solutions and efficiency gains.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, procurement, or a related field is often required.
- Prefer candidates with a master's degree or MBA.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or contract management, with a proven track record in large-scale projects, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with experience in managing complex vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of local and international vendor markets, especially within sectors including construction, entertainment, or tourism.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to vendor performance management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
- Experience in developing and implementing vendor risk management frameworks and performance improvement plans.
