A leading company in Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative seeks a Senior Manager for Strategic Procurement. This role will focus on developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring operational efficiencies for a major giga project aimed at creating a premier destination for entertainment and lifestyle.
The Qiddiya Investment Company, a key player in Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, is seeking a Senior Manager for Strategic Procurement. This role is crucial in ensuring effective procurement practices for one of the nation's most ambitious giga projects, which aims to create a premier destination for entertainment, culture, and lifestyle.
The Senior Manager will develop and implement procurement strategies, focusing on major categories, optimizing costs, and ensuring high-quality supplier performance. This position will collaborate with internal stakeholders and manage supplier relationships to drive operational efficiencies and strategic procurement excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Category Strategy Development
Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with Qiddiya s objectives for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Analyze market trends and opportunities to leverage strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and innovation.
Negotiate contracts and framework agreements to secure advantageous terms for the company.
3. Operational and Performance Management
Oversee procurement operations, ensuring compliance with established strategies and business unit needs.
Monitor and report on performance metrics to identify areas of improvement.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Engage with multiple stakeholders across the organization to align procurement strategies with overall project goals.
Support local economic development efforts and help improve local supplier capabilities to meet Qiddiya's procurement needs.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic procurement, especially within large-scale projects, with a focus on the construction or entertainment sectors.
Proven track record of developing and implementing sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Experience in working within multicultural teams and a solid understanding of the local business landscape in Saudi Arabia.
Certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP are highly advantageous.
Desired Competencies:
Leadership Skills: Demonstrable experience in leading teams and initiatives within a dynamic environment.
Strategic Thinker: Ability to see the big picture, while also focusing on the details necessary for effective implementation.
Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
