Job Purpose:

• The SAP CPI Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), enabling seamless connectivity across SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams such as developers, architects, and business units, the engineer will ensure smooth data exchanges between cloud and on-premise applications, driving business growth and operational efficiency.
• With expertise in SAP CPI, integration patterns, and various protocols (such as REST, SOAP, and IDocs), the engineer will deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance integration solutions.
• This role also involves promoting best practices in SAP integration, optimizing integration flows, and ensuring alignment with business goals to maximize value across enterprise systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Integration Architecture: Design and implement integration architectures leveraging SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) to enable seamless communication between SAP and non-SAP systems, including ERP, CRM, third-party applications, and cloud services.

• iFlow Development: Develop and maintain high-quality integration flows (iFlows) in SAP CPI, ensuring efficient data exchange and processing between systems. Collaborate with business and technical teams to define integration requirements and ensure the adoption of best practices in integration design.

• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, CPI configuration, iFlows, API endpoints, and troubleshooting procedures. Ensure that the documentation is clear, up-to-date, and accessible for internal teams.

• Versioning and Upgrades: Manage iFlow versioning, handle system upgrades, and ensure backward compatibility where necessary, following SAP CPI&aposs best practices for handling changes in integration scenarios.

• Integration Testing: Perform thorough testing of integration flows, APIs, and system connections to validate functionality, data accuracy, performance, and error handling. Ensure that integration solutions meet business and technical requirements.

• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert troubleshooting support for SAP CPI integrations, addressing integration issues, data discrepancies, and performance concerns. Work with internal teams to resolve incidents and ensure system stability.

• Security and Compliance: Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for API endpoints and data transmission, ensuring compliance with organizational security and data privacy standards (e.g., OAuth, SSL/TLS).

• Performance Optimization: Optimize SAP CPI integration performance through effective design of iFlows, caching, load balancing, and error handling strategies to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of integration solutions.

• Collaboration: Work closely with SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP Concur, SAP Customer Experience (CX), SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning), SAP Data Intelligence, SAP BW/4HANA, and other SAP solutions&apos developers, product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure that integration efforts align with business objectives and the overarching SAP architecture. Collaborate on building scalable and efficient integrations that enhance the interoperability of various SAP and third-party systems, ensuring that the solutions are optimized for the business landscape.

• Continuous Improvement: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in SAP integration technologies, including new features and best practices within SAP CPI and the broader SAP Integration Suite. Evaluate, recommend, and implement tools and approaches that enhance integration capabilities and optimize business processes.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor&aposs degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (12+ years) as an SAP Integration Senior Engineer, with hands-on experience in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and other integration tools such as SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration).
• Proven experience in integration technologies, including REST, SOAP, IDocs, OData, RFC, and JMS for SAP integration scenarios.
• Strong expertise in building and managing iFlows in SAP CPI, leveraging SAP&aposs integration patterns and design principles.
• Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP Concur, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Data Intelligence, and other SAP solutions, with experience integrating them through SAP CPI.
• Strong proficiency in SAP APIs, including the ability to design, implement, and manage APIs using the SAP API Management platform.
• Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and its integration capabilities for cloud, hybrid, and on-premise systems.
• Experience with SAP Fiori and SAP UI5 for front-end integration is a plus.
• Expertise in JSON, XML, XSD, XPath, and related technologies for data mapping and transformation within integration flows.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools, specifically as they relate to SAP environments, to streamline integration deployments and continuous integration workflows.
• Strong knowledge of API security protocols, including OAuth 2.0, SAML, SSL/TLS, and API security best practices in SAP integration scenarios.
• Familiarity with integration testing tools like SoapUI, Postman, and SAP&aposs own testing tools to validate integration scenarios.
• Experience working in Agile methodologies, participating in iterative development cycles, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of delivering efficient and scalable integration solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, fostering teamwork and mentoring junior engineers when needed.
• Experience with both designing integration solutions from scratch and optimizing existing systems for performance, scalability, and business value.
