Job description

Overview

Role is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Manage all quality control activities across the milling process, including raw material inspection, in-process quality checks, and finished product evaluations. Lead team of quality control personnel and collaborate closely with other departments such as production, procurement, and R&D to continuously improve processes and product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive quality control systems and procedures across all production stages, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Ensure that all products meet regulatory, safety, and customer requirements, including compliance with HACCP, ISO, GMP, and other relevant standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulatory changes, ensuring the company is prepared to adapt to new requirements.
  • Lead the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze test data and report results, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective/preventive action plans for non-conforming products.
  • Ensure that accurate records of quality control activities, including test results, audits, and corrective actions, are maintained.
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management, highlighting quality performance, areas for improvement, and compliance with standards.
  • Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements and is available for audits.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to drive continuous improvement in product quality and process efficiency.
  • Identify areas of risk and propose solutions to improve product consistency, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Implement best practices for quality management, product safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all quality control activities adhere to the company’s safety policies and practices.
  • Actively promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the QC team.
  • Participate in health and safety audits and risk assessments as required.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as production, maintenance, procurement, and R&D, to ensure seamless integration of quality control practices across the company.
  • Collaborate with and support all external quality audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support business development and customer inquiries related to quality.
  • Lead and manage the Quality Control (QC) team, including supervisors, inspectors, and technicians, ensuring all team members are well-trained and motivated.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Establish and maintain a performance management system to monitor, evaluate, and enhance individual and team performance.
