Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Senior Manager - Project Control (Planning) to join our team.

In this role, you will provide direction and management for all phases of a major program to ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. You will plan and define program goals, develop strategies to achieve them, and gain in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Prior experience must include Project Management, Program Management, Client Management, Planning, Scheduling, Project Controls, Cost Management, Claims Management, Delay Analysis, EOT Preparation, and Training activities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to resolve complex project control problems.
  2. Interface with clients, attend meetings, and provide statistical reports.
  3. Monitor and report on project progress, milestones, and conditions affecting cost or schedule.
  4. Manage a team of Project Control Engineers/Specialists to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs and performance against schedules.
  5. Assess impacts of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.
  6. Oversee development and maintenance of project control systems and keep management informed.
  7. Coordinate staffing, assign work, supervise activities, and train personnel.
  8. Conduct performance reviews and support personnel development.
  9. Customize project control systems to meet specific project needs.
  10. Create statistical reports for management.
  11. Participate in business development by gathering and presenting data.
  12. Make presentations as required.
  13. Perform other related responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or related field).
  2. 20 years of related experience, including supervisory/managerial roles.
  3. Basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or related fields.
  4. Proficiency in Project Controls Software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Proven supervisory ability.
  6. Thorough knowledge of industry practices.
  7. Must meet Parsons Project Controls Manager Certification requirements.
