As part of a unified LINE organization, you will be responsible for delivering Mechanical Engineering from a design and construction perspective for THE LINE project in NEOM.

THE LINE encompasses various projects across a 9,500 km2 land area, including the Hidden Marina Mirror Line phase 1, Hidden Marina Bay, the Landscapes of THE LINE, three special projects, and the NEOM International Airport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Mechanical Engineering Strategy, Design, and Construction scope for THE LINE, ensuring project goals related to budget, schedule, quality, and sustainability are met.
  • Lead a team supporting the LINE Design Project Engineering Management teams and oversee procurement and management of regional assets.
  • Ensure successful delivery of Mechanical Engineering systems across the LINE regional assets.
  • Develop a Mechanical Engineering strategy aligned with the overall LINE delivery strategy, in coordination with the Building Services strategy.
  • Create implementation plans considering project-specific requirements, timelines, and budgets, reviewing existing studies and developing additional initiatives as needed.
  • Utilize industry knowledge to source opportunities, evaluate technologies, and integrate innovative solutions into projects.
  • Establish partnerships with technology providers, research institutions, and industry experts to foster innovation.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence within the team.
  • Analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions for project success.
  • Define and monitor KPIs related to Mechanical Engineering's impact on project performance and sustainability.
  • Report progress regularly to leadership and leverage latest trends and advancements in Mechanical Engineering.

Requirements Summary:

  • 15+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, with experience from both consultancy and client perspectives; familiarity with approvals in KSA is advantageous.
  • Experience with high-rise, complex iconic projects, preferably with collaborations involving top architectural firms.
  • Knowledge of SBC and US codes and standards is beneficial.
  • Experience with process mapping, process modeling tools, and data analysis/reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Flexibility and leadership abilities to influence and adapt strategies as needed.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years in Mechanical Engineering and related fields.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Relevant professional memberships or certifications.
