About the Role
This role involves the coordination and execution of customer orders according to their requirements and procedures. The individual will be responsible for coordinating import/export trafficking functions, data entry, and document distribution related to customer import/export shipments through PSA BDP. Key tasks include receiving documents, ensuring compliance with customs requirements, processing documents, coordinating cargo availability, arranging pickup and delivery, and finalizing billing.
Responsibilities
- Manage order processing
- Analyze customer order plausibility
- Plan, book, and coordinate transportation orders
- Follow up on shipment status
- Handle customs processing for export/import
- Prepare documentation, manage administration, invoicing, and filing
- Provide feedback to customers through various communication channels
- Troubleshoot operational issues
- Report non-conformances according to KPIs
- Coordinate with subcontractors based on approved rates
- Ensure end-to-end processing of shipments
- Handle orders and documentation punctually and accurately
- Manage freight audit payments
- Ensure compliance with customer SOPs and KPIs to provide high-quality service
- Maintain customer satisfaction and retention through timely and friendly service
- Handle tasks based on SOPs and quotations, prioritizing by country and urgency
- Respond flexibly to customer inquiries, including outside business hours if necessary
- Track shipments daily, maintain status trackers, and address discrepancies immediately
- Obtain and provide necessary documentation such as permits and licenses
- Proactively update customers on shipment events and issues
- Update relevant internal/external systems as needed
- Serve as the first escalation contact for customer issues
- Notify managers of irregularities or internal issues
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of detailed experience in logistics, forwarding operations, regulations, and documentation.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
- Preferably a professional degree in logistics and forwarding from a licensed institution
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Teamwork attitude
- Leadership experience is highly desirable
