  • FIDIC knowledge would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for legal matters in Alstom projects in Saudi Arabia.
  • Represent Alstom vis-à-vis external stakeholders.
  • Support Business Development Teams in drafting and negotiating various documents.
  • Participate in defining claim management and dispute resolution strategies.

Senior Legal Counsel 1

Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Legal Counsel/ Director will be the main point of contact for the legal matters in relation to Alstom projects in Saudi Arabia and to all Alstom legal entities located in Saudi Arabia.
  • You will be the main point of contact and will represent Alstom vis-à-vis external stakeholders (such as government entities, administrative institutions, external law firms, partners and subcontractors)
  • You will proactively support in the day to day the business and other support functions, in particular:
    • You will be supporting the Business Development Teams in the drafting, review and negotiation of preliminary documentations such as MoU, NDA…
    • You will be supporting the Bid team in the review of the tender documents and the drafting of the related documents (commercial offers, clarifications request, review of the project agreement, consortium agreements..).
    • You will be proactively participate to the definition of the Claim management and dispute/settlement resolution strategy and their implementation with the support of other functions.
    • You will support the Sourcing Teams in the drafting, review and negotiation of subcontract agreements.
  • You will ensure that the interests of the Company are well protected and secured and that any and all agreements are signed with an acceptable level of risks
  • You will handle corporate matters
  • You will provide legal & contractual trainings to the commercial and business development teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in an international business environment and/or law firms
  • Proven experience as Legal Counsel in construction or industrial environment
  • Fully versed in sharia’s, Islamic law
  • Familiar with public tenders and procurement law
  • Fluent in English and Arabic language
  • FIDIC knowledge would be a plus.
  • Excellent Leader who is able to interact with variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information
  • Law degree in Business,(desirable LLM/LLB)
