Overview

We are seeking a Senior Inspection Engineer in but not limited to tanks, structure, rotating equipment, piping to join our Western Region Distribution Department.


The Western Region Distribution Department is responsible for providing refined products such as diesel, Jet fuel and 91 &95 gasoline for local markets.


Your primary role is to maintain welding and Non-Destructive Testing program as stated in Saudi Aramco inspection system.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform External and internal Inspections for Storage Tanks, Pressure Vessels and pipeline Pre and Post T&I.
  • Perform external inspections for in-service equipment such as Vessel, Piping and Tanks. Perform internal Inspections for Pressure Vessels and Storage Tanks during T&I (Turnaround & Inspection).
  • Record the pre and post testing results in inspection reports. If any deviation observed it shall be recorded in SAIF/SAP system.
  • Inspect fabrication work including welding and coatings.
  • Inspect the sleeve installation in tank and piping. Review and propose Nondestructive testing method and inspection procedures.
  • Monitor/Review NDT (Non-destructive testing) results to determine defects and issue recommendations for repair or replacement as required.
  • Participate in RCA (Root cause analysis) and other technical discussions.
  • Maintain and update static equipment/piping records and historical data.
  • Verify and approve repair activities on static equipment and piping.
  • Perform annual surveys and other field Inspections as per corporate program.
  • Participate in Risk Based Inspection (RBI) studies.
  • Develop and review the mechanical inspection procedure and best practices.

Minimum Requirements
  • You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program.
  • Having 12 years of experience in Inspection, including at least 8 years in service inspection and shutdown experience.
  • Certified as: API-510, API-570, API-653, CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2, and CSWIP, NACE of SSPC.
  • Qualified NDT level II in (Penetrant/Ultrasonic/Magnetic particle testing).
