Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Inspection Engineer, with expertise in tanks, structures, rotating equipment, and piping, to join our Western Region Distribution Department.

Department Responsibilities

The Western Region Distribution Department is responsible for providing refined products such as diesel, jet fuel, and 91 & 95 gasoline for local markets.

Primary Role

Your main responsibility is to maintain the welding and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) program as outlined in the Saudi Aramco inspection system.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform external and internal inspections of storage tanks, pressure vessels, and pipelines before and after turnaround & inspection (T&I).
  2. Inspect in-service equipment such as vessels, piping, and tanks; perform internal inspections during T&I.
  3. Record testing results in inspection reports and document deviations in the SAIF/SAP system.
  4. Inspect fabrication work, including welding and coatings.
  5. Inspect sleeve installations in tanks and piping; review and propose NDT methods and inspection procedures.
  6. Monitor and review NDT results to identify defects and recommend repairs or replacements.
  7. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and other technical discussions.
  8. Maintain and update static equipment and piping records and historical data.
  9. Verify and approve repair activities on static equipment and piping.
  10. Conduct annual surveys and other field inspections as per corporate programs.
  11. Participate in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) studies.
  12. Develop and review mechanical inspection procedures and best practices.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and accredited program.
  • At least 12 years of experience in inspection, including a minimum of 8 years in service inspection and shutdowns.
  • Certifications: API-510, API-570, API-653, CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2, and NACE or SSPC certifications.
  • Qualified NDT Level II in Penetrant, Ultrasonic, or Magnetic Particle Testing.
