Role Purpose
Onsite IT Engineers are critical to maintaining the operational integrity of IT systems across our facilities. Assigned based on the complexity, typology of the site and location, engineers ensure optimal performance, availability and security of IT infrastructure, cater to daily technical support needs, reports, and implement new technologies as per organizational directives
Role Responsibilities
- Address day-to-day IT challenges, offering both reactive and proactive support for end-users, software, hardware, and network issues to ensure consistent uptime and reliability.
- Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance procedures, including the installation of service packs, patches, and other updates necessary to mitigate risks and enhance system functionality.
- Regularly assess system configurations for security threats; apply best practices and security measures to safeguard information assets against potential breaches.
- Maintain accurate records of technical problems and resolutions to support compliance with internal standards and industry regulations. Generate reports detailing operational status, improvement opportunities, and compliance with set KPIs.
- Collaborate with project teams to deploy new IT systems or upgrades, ensuring alignment with strategic IT objectives and minimal disruption to local operators.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management to clarify IT requirements, report on system status, and gather feedback to enhance service delivery.
Role Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, o a related field.
- Depending on the level of seniority, experience ranging from fresh graduates to more than 5 years in IT support roles.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, network technologies, software and hardware troubleshooting, and security principles.
- Excellent analytical abilities to diagnose and resolve IT issues promptly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex IT concepts in simple terms.
