The project:


Works with business leaders and their leadership teams on a strategic & operational basis, providing insight and input into the development of business strategy and people plans, translating business goals into HR requirements, driving the implementation of organisation and people plans for the respective unit(s).


Provides a full HR admin service to employees, acting as a first point of HR enquiries and supports projects and initiatives as required.

You’ll be responsible for:


  1. Act as a strategic business partner to leadership teams providing input into decisions and plans for the business unit(s), leading autonomous HR business activity for respective unit(s).
  2. Partners with leaders to drive change, organisational development and risk analysis including the use of data to drive effective decision making.
  3. Partners with leaders and leadership teams to drive strategic workforce planning and resource management, including mobilisation and demobilisation.
  4. Works closely with all areas of the people team to effectively deliver the annual people calendar activities.
  5. Coordinates with the talent attraction team to facilitate effective recruitment and onboarding for the business unit(s).
  6. Supports leaders and leadership teams to manage performance, employee relations, wellbeing, engagement and retention activities.
  7. Contributes into the reward team, facilitating the annual reward review and alignment to the career framework for your business unit(s).
  8. Develops business unit to effectively manage performance improvement and poor conduct through the disciplinary & grievance policy, seeking support from the employee relations team where appropriate.
  9. Actively supports business unit(s) with career growth for employees through effective talent management and development, working closely with the talent, development & inclusion team.
  10. Partners with business leaders and management teams to drive the implementation of effective engagement & retention plans, aligned to the business purpose, values and behaviours.
  11. Works on HR projects in all areas, as required by the engine HR lead or CPO.
  12. Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:


  1. Recognised as a capable HR professional able to apply theory and put HR skills into practice to solve problems and issues of diverse scope, and with a degree of complexity.
  2. A good understanding of the employee lifecycle, the diverse needs at specific stages and how to integrate people policies and practice in the delivery of people plans.
  3. Developing people plans & strategies.
  4. Attracting, recruiting and onboarding talent.
  5. Assessing and building capability.
  6. Identifying, developing and managing talent.
  7. Reward and recognition.
  8. Managing change.
  9. Workforce planning.
  10. Delivering the employee experience and building an inclusive culture.
  11. Employment policy, regulation and law.
  12. Organisational design.

You’ll also need:


  1. Confront unacceptable behaviour openly and corrects it, giving balanced feedback and support to improve performance.
  2. Creates opportunities to coach and develop others and sets challenging goal for self.
  3. Sets quality, performance and capability goals in line with organisational priorities and goals.
