We’re building next-gen, location-aware solutions—and we’re looking for a Senior GIS Data Engineer who lives and breathes maps, spatial data, and geotechnical storytelling. You’ll be at the core of our geospatial stack—transforming raw location data into actionable insights, clean maps, and smart spatial infrastructure. If you're experienced in GIS analysis, satellite imagery, and have a passion for building scalable, spatially-aware systems, you'll thrive here.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for spatial datasets, integrating sources like satellite imagery, AutoCAD drawings, and map servers.
- Lead end-to-end GIS workflows—from raw data processing to interactive maps and spatial dashboards.
- Work with tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, ArcGIS Online, and WMS to analyze and visualize land use, infrastructure, and environmental data.
- Conduct spatial data cleaning, transformation, and validation using Python (GeoPandas, Pandas) and ArcGIS tools.
- Maintain and update geodatabases, shapefiles, feature classes, and manage attribute schemas for ongoing projects.
- Handle georeferencing, digitization, utility network analysis, and format conversions (e.g., AutoCAD to GIS, KMZ, Shapefile).
- Stay up-to-date with GIS trends such as remote sensing, spatial modeling, and data standards.
Requirements:
- Degree in Geography, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 10 years in GIS roles, ideally involving urban planning, infrastructure, hydrology, or environmental management.
- Deep experience with ArcGIS suite, QGIS, and other geospatial tools.
- Solid scripting skills in Python for automating geospatial workflows (ArcPy, GeoPandas).
- Strong command of spatial databases SQL, shapefile management, schema/domain creation, and data validation.
- Skilled in digitizing, georeferencing, cartography, and thematic mapping.
- Solid knowledge of DEM/DTM analysis, catchment area planning, and land classification.
- Experience with AutoCAD GIS workflows, spatial data conversions, and integrating diverse geospatial formats.
- Familiarity with coordinate system transformations (Lat/Long, UTM, local grid systems).
- Proficient in using ArcGIS Toolboxes and setting symbology/style rules for feature classes.
- Able to produce high-quality maps, GIS reports, and maintain geospatial documentation.
