Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead and oversee all geotechnical engineering activities across project phases, ensuring technical compliance with national standards and EPMO requirements.
Review and validate geotechnical investigations, soil reports, foundation designs, and ground improvement recommendations prepared by consultants.
Provide expert advice on geotechnical risks and develop mitigation strategies to support decision-making during planning, design, and construction stages.
Coordinate closely with design, construction, and project management teams to ensure effective integration of geotechnical inputs into project deliverables.
Conduct technical evaluations, participate in value engineering workshops, and contribute to performance monitoring and risk assessment processes.
Supervise field investigations, testing programs, and site verifications to confirm compliance with approved geotechnical recommendations.
Ensure proper documentation, knowledge transfer, and reporting of geotechnical activities in alignment with EPMO governance and procedures.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
Extensive experience (typically 17+ years) in geotechnical engineering, with a strong record in infrastructure or government-led projects.
In-depth knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation systems, and geotechnical risk management.
Proficiency in geotechnical software tools such as Plaxis, GeoStudio, gINT, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of project lifecycle management within an EPMO or similar governance framework.
Proven ability to manage consultants, review technical submissions, and support strategic project goals.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Prior experience in PMC/PMO/EPMO roles within large-scale public sector programs.
Familiarity with national codes (e.g., SBC) and compliance with Mashroat or similar guidelines.
Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is an advantage.
Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance-based reporting.
Strong technical writing and bilingual communication skills (Arabic and English preferred).
