Job description

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our infrastructure team in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will have more than 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering with a strong focus on major infrastructure projects such as roads, tunnels, bridges, ports, and utility networks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage geotechnical investigations and analysis for infrastructure projects.
  • Review and interpret soil investigation reports, laboratory test results, and geophysical data.
  • Provide geotechnical design recommendations and reports including foundation systems, slope stability, ground improvement techniques, and earthworks.
  • Supervise fieldwork activities and ensure quality control of geotechnical site investigations.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including structural, civil, and environmental teams.
  • Review contractor submittals and construction methodologies related to geotechnical aspects.
  • Provide technical support during construction phases and resolve site-related geotechnical issues.
  • Mentor and guide junior geotechnical engineers and support their technical development.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, specifically in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in managing geotechnical investigations and delivering high-quality technical reports.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, gINT, Settle3D, and SLOPE/W.
  • Familiarity with Saudi geotechnical conditions and regional standards.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • Previous experience with international engineering consultancies is preferred.
  • Chartered Engineer status is an advantage.
