A leading mining and minerals firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Geologist to provide technical support for Exploration and Resource Development operations. The role includes supervising field teams, conducting geological assessments, and preparing technical reports. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Geoscience and possess over 7 years of relevant experience in exploration. Exceptional analytical, communication, and safety advocacy skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in target generation and exploration.
• A solid understanding of the mineral discovery process.
• Hands-on exploration experience in various mineral systems.
• Proven ability to train geoscientists in drill program execution.
• Experience in data management practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in geology for exploration operations.
• Supervise field teams executing exploration and geotechnical drilling programs.
• Conduct geological assessments to define exploration targets.
• Collect and interpret geological data for exploration strategies.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings.

Skills

Knowledge of JORC and N143-401 standards for mineral sampling

Broad experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC)

Exceptional technical skills across geosciences

Knowledge of industry-standard software for geological modeling

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Solid communication and interpersonal skills

Extensive hands-on GIS experience (Preferably Arcpro)

Extensive 3D modeling experience (preferably Leapfrog)

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geoscience
