Job summary

UMATR is seeking an experienced software engineer to build modern web applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript, and to develop scalable backend services with Python and FastAPI. You will create enterprise dashboards and data exploration tools, while delivering AI-enabled features and secure, scalable backend architecture.

Collaboration with Product, AI and Engineering teams is essential. Required: 4+ years of commercial software engineering experience, strong frontend and backend skills,

Qualifications

• Strong frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.
• Solid backend development experience using Python.
• Experience building REST APIs with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database design.
• Experience working with Docker and containerised applications.

Building modern web applications using React Next js and TypeScript Developing scalable backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI Creating enterprise dashboards that transform complex operational data into meaningful insights Building analytics and data exploration tools that allow users to interact with large datasets Developing workflow automation features that streamline business processes Delivering AI-enabled product experiences by integrating intelligent services into customer-facing applications Designing secure scalable backend architecture and optimising database performance Collaborating closely with Product AI and Engineering teams to shape new functionality Contributing to architecture discussions code reviews and engineering best practices Supporting production systems and continuously improving performance reliability and scalability

4+ years of commercial software engineering experience. Strong frontend development experience with React and TypeScript. Solid backend development experience using Python. Experience building REST APIs with FastAPI or similar frameworks. Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database design. Experience working with Docker and containerised applications. Good understanding of software architecture, scalability and engineering best practices. Experience building production SaaS or enterprise software. Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative product-focused environment.
