Job Description

1. Ensure that the rates are adequate and competitive, risk is contained by efficient risk controls, results are closely monitored.
2. Define the underwriting/rate setting strategy for all SME products based on medical experience, customer behaviour, market trends and required contribution set in the annual operating plan.
3. Constantly improve the risk controls across all SME products to protect the business from high losses caused by pre-existing medical conditions, anti-selections, fraud and abuse attempts.
4. Manage the SME pricing function while continuously improving and automating processes, pricing module and workflows in order to support the growth of the SME segment.
5. Manage and report the results achieved by each product across all distribution channels on a periodical basis and keep the business aware of the performance and achievements YTD against AOP and alert the management of any possible risk of sudden loss, change in customer behaviour for the retail segment.
6. Constantly observe the daily productivity and achievements of every product across all distribution channels to ensure alignment with the set targets for retail.
7. Supervise the development and design of new products and set the appropriate risk controls and contribution margins.
8. Create and update the pricing policies and guidelines for the SME segment.
9. Ensure proper documentation and record keeping across commercial finance.
10. Increase the team’s productivity by automating and digitizing pricing/underwriting and reporting activities.
11. Leverage technology solutions to further strengthen the pricing control environment.
12. Lead team goal setting, manage and constantly review team and individual performance and provide regular feedback, coaching, and development.
13. Motivate, empower, and enable direct reports by providing the necessary tools and support required to achieve Recruitment Objectives.

1. Quantitative analysis.
2. Accounting, Finance, and exposure to Financial Services markets.

Education

BS / MS Mathematic/ Actuarial Science / Finance / Economics. MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
