About The Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and delivering all electrical systems and interfaces with MEP systems and building elements for various projects in the Built Environment sector. You will also support the commercial and assurance teams to validate design compliance with employer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting technical reviews on design deliverables related to electrical equipment, systems, and calculations.
• Coordinate electrical systems, including power distribution, electrical controls, lighting, and earthing, with multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage multidisciplinary design interface requirements, e.g., MEP and structures.
• Support the preparation of reports, manuals, and guidelines for electrical and control designs, including interfaces.
• Evaluate design changes and non-conformances, providing recommendations to meet requirements.
• Organize multidisciplinary review workshops, capture actions, and ensure closure.
• Provide technical input ensuring governance and adherence to procedures.
• Develop documentation for review processes, including comments and corrective actions for contractors.
• Support the delivery of projects within scope, budget, and schedule constraints.

Candidate Specifications

• BEng/BSc/BE in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Chartered Engineer status is preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to travel and work remotely at client sites or on-site.
• Experience with electrical services including medium and low voltage systems, fire detection, and ELV systems.
• Good knowledge of multidisciplinary MEP services such as HVAC, fire, and public health.
• Ability to manage engineering teams, including building services engineers, and coordinate with structural and civil engineers if needed.
• Financial management experience on projects.
• Experience working on major projects within multidisciplinary teams and across geographies.
• Strong communication skills for presenting proposals and discussing issues with stakeholders.
• Innovative mindset for process improvements.
• Knowledge of digital delivery and BIM is advantageous.
