Atkins has been commissioned to embed a Construction Project Management team into a key client's office based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The team has been in place since June 2012.
The client operates within the Defence Sector and is implementing a SAR 2bn civil/infrastructure program over the next 3 to 4 years.
The Atkins team is responsible for managing the client's construction program including the appointment of designers and contractors, reviewing, reporting and auditing consultants/contractors submissions. This role reports to the Design Manager.
Principal Accountabilities
Advising the Design Manager on technical matters in core discipline
Managing quality and technical compliance
Monitoring work executed
Interface with other disciplines, MOD and contractors

Technical Requirements - Essential
Degree qualified in core design discipline (Electrical)
Chartered Engineer (or equivalent)
Candidate must be Western educated
Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate professional experience of which 2 will have been in a similar senior position
At least 2 years experience on multi-disciplinary design projects
Detailed knowledge of applicable international design standards
Experience of technical design software
Sound technical skill set
Commercial awareness with regards to design advice
Working knowledge of Health & Safety best practices

Technical Requirements - Desirable
Experience of Saudi Arabia building design standards
Western candidate preferred
