Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an experienced Senior Director to lead transport planning for our ambitious entertainment destination. This role is paramount in ensuring that our transport systems effectively facilitate seamless movement within and around the Qiddiya site, serving both local and international visitors while enhancing the overall experience.
As the Senior Director Transport Planning, you will lead planning initiatives, collaborating with various stakeholders to create innovative transport solutions that align with our long-term vision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead (at District level) the provision of transport data to inform system design for transport projects.
- Lead (at District level) the phasing plan and measurement against network capacity to determine when roads and systems need activation to meet development phasing.
- Support roads projects assigned by development.
- Support parking projects assigned by development, such as park & ride, temporary parking, and parking structures.
- Lead (at District level) engagement with key stakeholders to ensure integration with regional mobility.
- Lead (at District level) the testing of development controls via Traffic Impact Studies at district, asset, or precinct levels.
- Manage governance interactions with authorities and government agencies, including approvals and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee activities like consultant procurement, management, contract management, committee presentations, and gateway approvals.
- Prepare for opening and operational readiness scenarios specific to transport modes.
- Assess impacts of changes on cost, time, and quality.
- Support other job families as necessary.
- Manage transport planning in support of District Master Development teams, including activities through land development stage gates, input into development briefs, programs, and land use budgets, coordination with asset BUs, and ensuring land development efficiency.
- Lead the preparation and management of transport planning consultants, including reviews and performance monitoring.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 18-20 years of experience in transport planning for large-scale urban projects.
- Expertise in transport modeling, traffic analysis, and strategic planning.
- Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of regulations, standards, and sustainability principles in transport planning.
- Proficiency in transport planning software and tools.
