Job description

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Director - Technical Services (Theme Park) to lead the technical operations of our theme park facilities. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring that the technical services necessary for the design, construction, and operation of world-class theme park attractions are executed seamlessly in line with Qiddiya's vision.

As the Senior Director of Technical Services, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of technical services, including engineering, maintenance, safety, and operational readiness. Your leadership will contribute to the successful rollout of theme park attractions and ensure ongoing excellence in operations, sustainability, and guest experience.

  • Operational Expertise in Technical Services
    • Management of pre-opening activities including project management, inspections, testing, commissioning, and equipment handovers.
    • Overseeing daily operations across Attractions, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Facilities, Animatronics, and Engineering.
    • Implementation of health and safety regulations, especially related to ride safety and facilities.
    • Development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and auditing systems.
    • Experience with International IP Attractions is preferred.
  • Service Excellence & Quality Standards
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Deep understanding of service delivery, maintenance, asset management, reporting, and analytics.
    • Experience with global quality standards (ISO, CQI, etc.).
  • Financial Acumen
    • Budgeting and cost control.
    • Financial data analysis for strategic decisions.
    • Long-term financial planning to meet EBITDA and revenue targets.
  • Sales & Marketing
    • Supporting marketing initiatives to expand markets and improve brand awareness.
    • Collaborating to innovate and enhance guest experiences.
    • Maintaining brand standards and IP compliance.
  • Technical Proficiency
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software (CMMS, BMS, Asset Management).
  • Communication & Organizational Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and resilience under pressure.
  • Safety and Crisis Management
    • Safety consciousness with strong crisis management and problem-solving skills.

    Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical, Mechanical, or related fields, with a preferred Master's degree such as an MBA or Strategic Management. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience leading the opening and operations of international theme parks, managing large, diverse teams, and implementing industry-standard technical and safety procedures.

    Proven success in strategic planning, operational excellence, safety programs, and technology-driven solutions is essential.
