Job description

Senior Data Protection & Privacy Specialist

The role is responsible for examining personal data frameworks and relevant privacy laws and regulations, assessing privacy risks, creating and managing the implementation of an organization's privacy and data protection compliance program and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the organization adheres to relevant privacy laws and regulations, such as PDPL, GDPR. and CCPA and oversee privacy and data protection requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate privacy risks associated with data processing activities.
  • Create and maintain privacy and data protection policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of the organization's privacy and data protection compliance program.
  • Lead the response to privacy and data protection incidents, including breach investigations and reporting.
  • Develop and deliver privacy training programs to employees and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure privacy requirements are met.
  • Stay updated on changes in privacy laws and regulations and adjust compliance strategies accordingly.
  • Conduct DPIAs to assess the impact of data processing activities on privacy.
  • Provide expert advice to senior management on privacy and data protection matters.
  • Assist in the organization's response to privacy or data protection incidents.
