JOB DESCRIPTION

The project:

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project includes major mixed-use development, sports facilities, entertainment, arts, and all associated infrastructure.

Mace is seeking high-calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams through each phase of the project as part of our delivery partnership.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide cost management services from inception to completion for ongoing and new commissions across various sectors.
  2. Take responsibility for specific areas, disciplines, or specialisms, utilizing advanced technical capabilities and expertise.
  3. Conduct feasibility studies, advise on procurement strategies, and prepare procurement reports.
  4. Apply value management techniques at the start of projects.
  5. Manage estimating and cost planning activities, including ownership and presentation of final cost plans.
  6. Contribute to the procurement process, ensuring effective performance at all stages.
  7. Supervise preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds, licenses, and assist in formal execution.
  8. Advise on administration of building contract terms.
  9. Measure valuations of work, manage cost checking and valuation effectively.
  10. Ensure proper cost control and reporting, including monthly post-contract cost reports.
  11. Identify costs related to design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client charges.
  12. Oversee evaluation of claims for delays and additional costs by contractors and subcontractors.
  13. Provide advice on issuing certificates for defects and final completion, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  14. Manage final accounts negotiations and agreements.
  15. Lead and develop the team of cost consultants, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
  16. Implement system and process improvements, driving transformational change.
  17. Mentor and train team members, sharing expertise to enhance capabilities.
  18. Develop and maintain internal and external relationships, managing key stakeholder influence.
  19. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  20. Contribute to net zero carbon transition efforts by proactively managing associated emissions and reductions during project delivery.
Requirements:
  1. Possess necessary visa criteria for Saudi Arabia and relevant high-value project experience in project management consultancy, suitable for immigration and client approval.
  2. Proven track record of delivering service excellence to clients.
  3. Extensive experience in commercial management.
  4. Experience in risk management and change control management.
  5. Knowledge of various contract types, including measurement methods.
