Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain detailed project cost estimates and budgets in collaboration with the estimating and project teams.

Track and manage project expenditures against the approved budget, ensuring accuracy in cost allocation and reporting.

Provide cost forecasting and cash flow projections using earned value and other performance management techniques.

Identify cost trends and potential risks or overruns, and recommend mitigation strategies.

Ensure all changes (variations, scope changes, claims) are properly documented and incorporated into the project budget and forecast.

Liaise with procurement and contract teams to ensure cost data from purchase orders, contracts, and invoices is accurately integrated.

Prepare and present regular cost reports and dashboards for senior management, clients, and stakeholders.

Support monthly reporting cycles, including accruals, cost-to-complete analysis, and forecast updates.

Assist in the evaluation of contractor payment applications and change order requests.

Ensure compliance with company and client cost control procedures and financial standards.

Support the closeout process by reconciling costs, validating final accounts, and contributing to lessons learned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related field.

Relevant cost engineering experience, in a senior or lead role on large-scale construction projects.

Strong working knowledge of construction cost control principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Proficiency with cost management software such as Primavera P6, Ares Prism, EcoSys, SAP, or equivalent.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus.

Solid understanding of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, lump sum, remeasurement).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface effectively with field teams and senior stakeholders.

Willingness to be based on-site full-time and adapt to the demands of a dynamic construction environment.
