Job description

We are hiring a Senior Contracts Manager to work on a civil project in Saudi Arabia for a major contractor.

Responsibilities
  1. Reporting to the Project Director.
  2. Assist Project Management in all aspects of Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying.
  3. Represent the company professionally, developing strong relationships with the client’s representative.
  4. Manage the Contract Administration Team.
  5. Advise on contract interpretation, analyzing client specifications and drawings.
  6. Develop and communicate internal contract strategies, processes, and procedures to project team members.
  7. Ensure proper documentation and cross-referencing of all relevant information, including claims and variations.
  8. Review, advise, and draft contractual correspondence.
  9. Assist in contractual negotiations and drafting sub-contract agreements.
  10. Participate in meetings with clients and handle contractual aspects such as payment applications, certifications, claims, final accounts, variations, and contract interpretation.
  11. Prepare variation orders, notices, claims, and facilitate negotiations and agreements.
  12. Advise on the development, agreement, and implementation of project contractual plans and strategies.
  13. Oversee and participate in the closing out of subcontracts, including claims.
Requirements
  1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
  2. RICS chartered status.
  3. Minimum 20 years’ experience in Civil/Building projects.
  4. Experience administering FIDIC Red Book conditions of contract.
  5. Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  6. Proven experience in Contracts Administration on the contractor’s side.
  7. Ability to delegate tasks to Contract Administration team members.
  8. Preferably Middle East project experience.
