ABOUT THE JOB

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Manager to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This opportunity is within our Infrastructure Division and requires expertise in Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, particularly those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments. The role involves overseeing contractual matters, ensuring compliance, managing change proposals, and preparing cost reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management
  1. Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  2. Work with the cost control manager to establish and monitor budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial compliance.
  3. Monitor project progress, address delays or deviations promptly.
  4. Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.
  5. Represent the company in meetings with clients, third parties, and contractors regarding schedule matters.
  6. Coordinate with project managers to track and control schedules.
  7. Prepare reports and presentations on project milestones, timelines, and risks.
  8. Act as a liaison with the client on schedule control issues and client requirements.
  9. Support the client on planning and control matters, managing expectations and satisfaction.
  10. Ensure Quality Control processes are followed to deliver high-quality work.
  11. Coordinate with discipline managers to guide staff and foster collaboration.
Contract Management
  1. Lead contractual matters, including compliance, change management, cost reporting, and claim mitigation.
  2. Develop strategies to mitigate claims and review correspondence for commercial impact.
  3. Identify and assess contractual issues.
  4. Ensure bonds, warranties, insurances, and undertakings align with client interests and contractual terms.
  5. Represent the company in procurement, contracts, and claims meetings.
  6. Manage claims from consultants and contractors.
  7. Draft contractual communications and assess incoming correspondence for commercial impact.
  8. Oversee application and payment processes for accuracy and compliance.
  9. Handle contractual matters with the client, managing expectations and satisfaction.
  10. Follow Quality Control procedures to ensure high standards.
  11. Coordinate with team members to provide direction and promote collaboration.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Quantity Surveying, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Qualifications/affiliations with RICS, IQS, ICES, or CIOB.
  • Over 15 years of project management experience, especially in mega construction projects.
  • Knowledge of construction, design, and engineering principles.
  • Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, teamwork, problem-solving, autonomy, and technical skills.
  • Willingness to work in a multinational environment.
Additional Requirements
  • Transferable Iqama if non-Saudi.
  • Based in Riyadh.
  • Valid SCE membership.
