Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in contract management, preferably in construction.
  • Knowledge of standard contract forms (FIDIC/JCT).

Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Senior Contract Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for all contract administration functions, providing supervision, management, and legal guidance to Contract Administrators and support staff within the Construction Department. Your role is to protect Soudah and the company's interests in contractual matters, ensuring compliance with policies, legal standards, and contractual obligations.

You will report directly to the Contract Manager and support Project Managers and Resident Construction Managers.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supervising and managing Contract Administrators, providing technical legal guidance daily.
  • Preparing and assisting with contractual correspondence across departments.
  • Leading meetings with internal and external parties to resolve disputes and discuss legal issues.
  • Reviewing work for quality, correctness, and compliance with policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Planning contract activities, including post-award schedules.
  • Recommending new and revised policies and procedures.
  • Participating in personnel selection, training, and evaluation.
  • Advising management on contractual matters and leading negotiations, claims avoidance, and conflict management strategies.
  • Assisting with presentations to senior management.
  • Performing contract administration duties and participating in post-award negotiations.
  • Serving as Coordinator of the Change Evaluation Committee.
  • Acting as Manager of the Contracting Section when required.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the Director of Construction and the Construction Project Support Section Manager.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Science, or a J.D. in Law, with five (5) years' experience in contract award, negotiation, and administration.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in contract management, preferably in construction.
  • Knowledge of standard contract forms (FIDIC/JCT).
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and analytical software tools.
