Position Title: Senior Data Management Consultant

Location: based in Saudi or Jordan with frequent travel to MENA region

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Senior Data Management Consultant. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in leading and handling data governance and management, designing data governance frameworks, implementing policies and processes, compliance, maturity assessment, and working with NDMO standards and international best practices.

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in leading data governance and management projects,

design and implement enterprise-wide Data Governance frameworks, policies, and operating models. Develop and align data strategies with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

This role requires technical proficiency, problem-solving capabilities, and leadership skills to manage deliverables and guide junior team members effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement enterprise-wide Data Governance frameworks, policies, and operating models.
  • Develop and align data strategies with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Establish data stewardship, ownership, and accountability structures across business units.
  • Advise senior leadership (CIOs, CDOs, CISOs, and business heads) on data-driven governance strategies.
  • Conduct maturity assessments and develop road maps for data governance adoption.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi regulatory standards (SDAIA, NDMO, CITC, SAMA, NCA).
  • Define and enforce policies for data privacy, protection, security, and quality management.
  • Lead initiatives to classify, protect, and manage sensitive data assets.
  • Design data quality frameworks, metrics, and monitoring processes.
  • Oversee master data management (MDM) and metadata management practices.
  • Support the implementation of data governance tools
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams on data architecture and integration initiatives.
  • Lead change management efforts to drive a strong data culture and awareness

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 6–10+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in data governance, data management, or information governance roles.
  • Strong consulting background (Big Four or leading consultancy experience in Saudi/GCC region preferred).
  • Proven track record of designing and leading data governance programs in large enterprises or government entities.
  • Deep understanding of data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, EDM Council).
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards in Saudi Arabia (NDMO data management framework, SDAIA policies, SAMA regulations, NCA cybersecurity controls).
  • Proficiency with data governance, data quality, and MDM platforms.
  • Knowledge of data analytics, BI, and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and advisory skills.
  • Leadership in change management and data culture initiatives.

Preferred Certifications

  • CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional)
  • DCAM Accreditation
  • DAMA Certification
  • TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification
  • PMP / PRINCE2 (for governance program management)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
