Senior Commercial Manager
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Job Purpose
- Manage and set objectives for a team of commercial staff.
- Produce a full range of contractual documentation for assigned areas in line with all relevant BAE Systems Saudi Arabia requirements and procedures.
- Lead or participate in contract/subcontract negotiations with all relevant parties to facilitate smooth and successful negotiations.
- Manage contracts/subcontracts, ensuring the efficient and effective resolution of issues.
- Support the development, coordination, and implementation of pricing and payment strategies and policies in assigned areas.
- Support the development, coordination, and implementation of overall financial targets and budgetary management strategies.
- Manage potential areas of risk, carry out risk analyses and assessments to support risk minimization.
- Build, manage, and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers to ensure effective management of business agreements.
- Lead on the resolution of commercial issues to facilitate effective business decision-making.
- Lead regular reviews with suppliers to review relationships, current/future bids/opportunities, and ensure contracted obligations and targets are achieved.
- Lead, develop, and motivate assigned staff to ensure they are capable of delivering their responsibilities.
- Contribute to the development of the Functional Governance Manual and the Commercial Manual, and communicate/implement them in the assigned area.
- Keep up to date with and research new commercial developments in assigned areas and assess their advantages to the company.
- Liaise with senior stakeholders within internal and external customer communities.
- Manage interfaces with Finance, Legal, HR, and Group Tax to establish effective contracting and pricing models.
- Manage RBA activities.
- Lead Tender activities.
- Assess and produce Commercial plans in support of Life Cycle Management (LCM).
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant Degree and extensive commercial experience.
- Extensive knowledge of business unit financial, commercial, and procurement policies.
- Good working knowledge of the business unit approach to Life Cycle Management.
- Proven negotiating skills in various environments.
- Wide-ranging experience dealing with domestic and international suppliers.
