Job summary

International Maritime Industries is seeking an experienced CNC cutter and sub-assembly specialist to support offshore oil and gas construction and shipyard projects. The role requires interpretation of technical drawings, selection of suitable CNC cutting methods, and ensuring valid work permits are in place to deliver safe, precise outputs.

Qualifications

Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification.
7+ years in Offshore Oil & Gas Construction or Shipyard/Ship repair.

Responsibilities

Execute CNC cutting and sub-assembly tasks safely and within scheduled timelines.
Adhere to nesting drawings, production drawings, and marking instructions.
Identify and select appropriate CNC cutting equipment and methods based on job specs.
Obtain valid work permits prior to commencing activity.
Participate in daily safety and toolbox meetings and evaluate risks.
Operate CNC machines in accordance with manuals and drawings.
Monitor material usage and initiate corrective actions for shortages.
Apply cutting prep accurately, inspect finished cuts, and verify quality.
Inspect and maintain CNC equipment and tools regularly.
Demonstrate compliance with HSES responsibilities and procedures.
