Job summary

Egis is seeking an experienced Senior Civil/Structural Engineer for our Riyadh, Saudi Arabia project. You will provide expert on-site supervision, ensure quality and safety, and act as the technical authority guiding the team through complex structural challenges.

The role requires deep knowledge of Saudi building codes, 15+ years in civil/structural engineering, and 5+ years of direct site supervision on major projects. BIM experience and strong reporting skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in civil/structural engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of direct site supervision experience on major construction projects.
• Advanced proficiency in structural analysis and design principles.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and Saudi Arabian standards.
• Experience with quality assurance/quality control methodologies.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect structural construction activities on-site for compliance with designs and quality standards.
• Prepare detailed technical reports documenting progress, issues, and corrective actions.
• Review structural designs, drawings, and construction methodologies and provide guidance to contractors.
• Ensure adherence to Saudi building codes, safety regulations, and international standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain schedule.
• Manage quality control testing and material verification per specs.
• Maintain project documentation including logs and correspondence.
• Conduct safety audits and promote safety culture on site.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will provide expert site supervision and technical oversight for structural construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with all applicable standards. You will serve as a key technical authority on-site, making critical decisions and guiding the project team through complex structural challenges.

• Supervise and inspect all structural construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed technical reports documenting progress, issues, and corrective actions
• Review and analyze structural designs, drawings, and construction methodologies; provide technical guidance to contractors and project teams
• Ensure adherence to Saudi Arabian building codes, safety regulations, and international construction standards
• Identify structural deficiencies or deviations from plans and implement corrective measures promptly
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedule
• Manage quality control testing and material verification; approve or reject work based on technical specifications
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, inspection records, and technical correspondence
• Conduct safety audits and promote a culture of safety compliance across all construction activities
• Provide technical recommendations for design modifications or value engineering opportunities
• Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets from a structural engineering perspective
• Mentor junior engineers and support the professional development of the site team

What do we need from you

• Minimum 15years of professional experience in civil/structural engineering
• Minimum 5 years of direct site supervision experience on major construction projects
• Advanced proficiency in structural analysis and design principles
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction regulations, particularly Saudi Arabian standards
• Expertise in quality assurance and quality control methodologies
• Proficiency with structural analysis software and AutoCAD

• Analytical and problem-solving skill set with attention to detail

Preferred Skills and Experience
