Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our consultancy firm for supervising a prestigious high-rise hotel development in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate must have 10 to 15 years of civil engineering experience, specifically with high-rise towers, piling works, and extensive experience working within consultancy firms (not contractors).

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise civil construction activities, particularly piling and foundation works, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Review civil engineering designs, piling plans, and calculations to ensure compliance with international and Saudi standards.
• Oversee civil engineering site execution, emphasizing quality control and adherence to project specifications.
• Coordinate closely with structural engineers, architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of civil and structural elements.
• Perform site inspections specifically related to piling and foundations, providing expert technical solutions to construction challenges.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and requirements applicable to high-rise tower construction.
• Manage site teams effectively, coordinating clearly with contractors and maintaining smooth project execution.
• Prepare detailed, professional reports and documentation in English.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10 to 15 years of experience focused on civil engineering aspects of high-rise towers and hospitality projects.
• Proven expertise in piling techniques and foundation systems for high-rise buildings.
• Prior experience working exclusively with reputable consultancy firms (no contractor-only experience).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in civil engineering software and familiarity with BIM tools.
• Strong knowledge of international and Saudi civil engineering standards.
• Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and team coordination skills.
