Job Description

Description of the Role

• Responsible for delivering quality structural engineering services to Socotec clients.
• Perform site inspections to ensure compliance with local regulations and project requirements.
• Ensure work is carried out according to relevant instructions.
• Comply with SOCOTEC group policies and procedures.
• Achieve and maintain the highest qualification levels set by SOCOTEC for relevant consultancy disciplines.

Main Tasks

• Review documents according to the level of checking designated by Management.
• Filter and verify applicable requirements and ensure evidences are justified in the Design Package under review.
• Ensure compliance with standards, best practices, codes, and regulations.
• Provide technical opinions on submitted calculation notes and elements subject to review.
• Prepare and submit document review reports.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

• Comply with Socotec International and client quality, safety, and environmental systems and procedures.
• Report all accidents, incidents, near misses, or hazards immediately and complete relevant paperwork.
• Contribute to a safety culture within the team, promoting responsibility for a safe workplace and environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Experience with international codes and local regulations, notably the SBC Code.
• Must be Saudi national or have resided in KSA for at least 5 years.
• Registered with the Saudi Society of Engineers.
