We are currently looking for a Senior Chemist/Technical Services Manager to join our growing team in Saudi Arabia. This is a critical role in our Oilfield Services business across the Middle East region. The successful candidate will provide technical support across lab and field operations, collaborate with global technical teams and work closely with our commercial teams to deliver value to our customers.

Please note, this role will be based out of Saudi Arabia and will include frequent travel within the Middle East and occasional travel to our R&D facilities in the UK and US.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide technical service support and manage technical projects across the region
• Conduct lab and field testing to support product performance and treatment
• Collaborate with product management and technical teams in North Europe and North America
• Support both internal sales teams and external customer engagements with technical insights
• Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports, proposals and customer presentations
• Ensure safe lab practices and uphold HSE standards in all technical operations
• Assist in the provision of test samples to customers. Provide updates on sample despatch to Sales Managers and customers. Ensure raw materials remain in sufficient quantities and within shelf life at all times.
• Responsible for the maintenance and calibration of test equipment and laboratory consumables
• Formulate Oilfield Services formulations to meet tender requirements, including the selection and evaluation of alternative components

Role Requirements

• Undergraduate degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Biochemistry
• Prior experience working with production chemicals in the oil and gas industry is essential
• Strong background in oilfield analytical methods, including wet titration, solids analysis and general lab techniques
• Previous lab experience with a solid understanding of lab safety protocols
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical mathematic skills
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write and present technical documents clearly and professionally
• Fluent in English, Arabic is desirable
