Amazon KSA is seeking an Arabic-speaking, smart, enthusiastic, hardworking, and creative Senior Category Manager to join our Amazon Retail business in Riyadh.

Amazon GCC offers a convenient, safe, and enjoyable online shopping experience with over 1,000,000 products from international and local brands at competitive prices.

The Senior Category Manager will be responsible for developing and owning the P&L and strategy for a major category in KSA. The role involves driving category growth, managing profitability, and enhancing the customer experience. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent business judgment, vendor management and negotiation skills, curiosity, and a passion for creating a world-class shopping experience. The role requires on-ground work and collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors of all sizes, and effective communication skills to represent Amazon at all levels.

Key job responsibilities
  1. JOB PURPOSE
  2. Effective communication and problem-solving skills, balancing the needs of Amazon and strategic suppliers.
  1. JOB DESCRIPTION
  2. Maintaining data quality for the product catalog.
  3. Building comprehensive brand destinations within Amazon.
  4. Coordinating and creating launch plans for new products, brands, or categories.
  5. Managing site placements and promotions in coordination with suppliers and the event calendar.
  6. Designing and executing targeted marketing campaigns with the Marketing/Merchandising team.
  7. Providing reporting and success metrics for campaigns and activities.
  8. Analyzing sales and key metrics to identify opportunities for growth and customer reach.
  9. Managing inventory levels, open-to-buy, and assortment planning.
  10. Engaging and managing suppliers.
  11. Overseeing inbound shipments, fill rate, SKUs, operational issues, lead times, quality, and deviations.
  12. Responsibility for category KPIs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA
