Job Purpose / Objective

Responsible for the procurement of equipment, medical supplies and services for all Group Projects, also acts as a contact point for all procurement related activities between suppliers and concerned departments and ensure that orders are placed in the most efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Review auto create screen on Oracle to accept/reject requisitions by verifying completeness under his/her responsibility.
• Analyze item history to verify specific details i.e. brand name, local/international source, price etc.
• Prepare request for quotation to meet the purchasing category & user requirement through Oracle application.
• Conduct necessary negotiations with supplier regarding items, conditions, delivery and prices.
• Review purchase requests and communicate with requesting departments to clarify needed information i.e. discontinued products, evaluation new products. Alternative products with cheaper price.
• Review and analyze proposals/quotations for purpose of determining which vendor are responsive to the requirements of the solicitation and are within competitive range.
• Prepare all the necessary documents i.e. contract, LC application.
• Generate & issue Purchase Orders.
• Generate & issue Releases for Blanket Purchase Orders.
• Report to the supervisor any work related problems or issues.
• Help and support with Purchasing Coordinator with any work related problems or issues.
• Support with stock items to minimize zero level report.
• Assist in evaluating existing and new products and support with any new project.
• Source and build relations with new suppliers and explore new products and companies according to the needs.
• Monitor market changes, competitor prices and products.
• Participate in self-other s education, training and development, as applicable.
• Follow all HMG & department policies and procedures.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
• Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
• Perform other applicable task(s) and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge, skill and abilities.

Education/ Professional Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics or Business Administration or Finance or any other discipline.

Experience

• Minimum Four (4) years of relevant experience.
