The opportunity

To build your career as an Accountable Professional (P2) responsible for obtaining goods/services required by the organization, including:

  • Indirect Operations (e.g., Office Supplies, Computers, Travel, Maintenance, Machine Parts, etc.)
  • Direct Operations (e.g., Raw Materials and Services for Manufacturing, Production or Construction; Products for Retail, etc.)

Procurement processes include Product/Service Sourcing, Supplier Selection, Pricing/Terms Negotiation, Order Processing, Contract Administration, and Supplier Performance Management. May include Strategic Sourcing. An experienced professional applies practical knowledge of the job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May work independently with general supervision, facing difficult but not complex problems, and influencing others through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Implement and support SCM practices such as Strategic Sourcing, Process & Excellence, Risk Management, Supply Base Management & Quality.
  • Design and implement plans for local sources to meet business targets and support regional/global sourcing initiatives.
  • Drive global SCM initiatives, monitor performance, and track KPIs.
  • Identify and support supplier/material selection and develop regional/global sourcing strategies in collaboration with Category Managers.
  • Develop SCM sourcing concepts, including supplier needs, make-or-buy analyses, cost scenarios, and new materials.
  • Share sourcing concepts with stakeholders, define actions, responsibilities, and deadlines.
  • Work with Category Managers and Supplier Quality Engineers for supplier selection.
  • Identify new supplier development needs for critical materials.
  • Coordinate sourcing strategies to analyze, evaluate, audit, and monitor suppliers.
  • Conduct SCM activities for goods and services according to policies and procedures.
  • Manage contracts and adapt the contractual framework to local needs, recommending and executing frame agreements.
  • Support bid and proposal teams with market information.
  • Plan, initiate, and monitor strategic sourcing activities for projects, new product development, and design-to-cost initiatives.
  • Leverage Continuous Improvement Processes and manage Supplier Performance Evaluation results and cost targets.
  • Manage Supplier Relationships to ensure timely delivery, quality, and contractual compliance.
  • Oversee supplier performance and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as engineering, planning, and fulfillment to ensure material availability, while applying standards on health, safety, environment, and ethics.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Engineering, Purchasing, and Supply Chain Management.
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented, with strong communication skills.
  • Results-focused with proven implementation skills and excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing and persuading abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Compliance and ethics-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.
  • Preferred certifications: CPSM or PMP, SAP experience, Documentation Management Systems, Power BI, proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
