Senior Backend Developer (Node.js)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer (Node.js) to design, develop, and optimize backend services. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy tackling complex backend challenges, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
2. Design scalable and efficient microservices architectures.
3. Optimize database structures and queries (SQL & NoSQL).
4. Implement secure authentication & authorization protocols (OAuth, JWT, RBAC).
5. Develop and integrate third-party APIs.
6. Ensure high availability, performance, and fault tolerance.
7. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
8. Work with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
9. Monitor performance and troubleshoot system failures.
10. Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams.
11. Continuously evaluate and adopt new backend technologies.

Requirements:

1. 3-5 years of backend development experience with Node.js.
2. Experience with at least one backend framework (Express.js, Nest.js).
3. Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
4. Understanding of authentication/security best practices (OAuth, JWT, encryption).
5. Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins).
6. Basic experience working on scalable backend systems.
7. Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Frontend, DevOps, Product).
8. Open to remote candidates; preference for candidates based in Saudi Arabia.
