About the job SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEER (FACADE)

Senior Architectural Engineer with specialized expertise in façade systems to join our construction team. This role is critical for managing all façade-related works, ensuring technical compliance, smooth coordination, and high-quality execution on site. You will act as the key interface between design consultants, façade subcontractors, and the site team, focusing on delivering complex façade packages (unitized systems, curtain walls, cladding, glazing, metal works, etc.) efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural and façade drawings, details, and specifications for constructability and coordination with structural and MEP systems.
• Work closely with façade consultants, design teams, and client representatives to resolve technical and design issues
• Review and approve façade-related shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and samples.
  
• Oversee on-site façade installation, ensuring adherence to approved designs, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Manage façade subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring progress, manpower, and delivery schedules.
• Conduct regular inspections, quality checks, and performance tests (e.g., water tests, air leakage, thermal performance) for façade systems.
• Ensure compliance with local and international façade codes, standards, and project-specific performance requirements.
• Support the project team in cost control, value engineering, and optimization of façade systems without compromising quality.
• Coordinate façade interfaces with other trades (steel, concrete, MEP penetrations, finishes).
• Mentor junior engineers, inspectors, and site teams involved in façade works.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or related field.


• 10+ years of experience in architectural or façade engineering roles, with at least 5 years in façade-specific roles on contractor side.


• Strong knowledge of various façade systems: curtain walls, unitized façades, stick systems, cladding, glazing, GRC, ACP, aluminum, stone, etc.


• Hands-on experience managing large façade packages on high-rise, commercial, or complex architectural projects.


• Familiarity with façade design, structural principles, thermal and acoustic performance, fire safety, and waterproofing.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools, and façade-specific software (e.g., Rhino, Grasshopper, or related).


• Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Solid understanding of international façade standards and testing protocols (ASTM, AAMA, CWCT, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience on landmark or high-rise projects.


• Familiarity with sustainable façade solutions and green building standards (LEED, IGBC, etc.).


• Experience with façade access systems, maintenance, and long-term performance considerations.


• BIM coordination and clash detection capabilities.
