Job description

Senior Architectural Engineer with specialized expertise in fa ade systems to join our construction team. This role is critical for managing all fa ade-related works, ensuring technical compliance, smooth coordination, and high-quality execution on site. You will act as the key interface between design consultants, fa ade subcontractors, and the site team, focusing on delivering complex fa ade packages (unitized systems, curtain walls, cladding, glazing, metal works, etc.) efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural and fa ade drawings, details, and specifications for constructability and coordination with structural and MEP systems.
• Work closely with fa ade consultants, design teams, and client representatives to resolve technical and design issues
• Review and approve fa ade-related shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and samples.
  
• Oversee on-site fa ade installation, ensuring adherence to approved designs, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Manage fa ade subcontractors and suppliers, monitoring progress, manpower, and delivery schedules.
• Conduct regular inspections, quality checks, and performance tests (e.g., water tests, air leakage, thermal performance) for fa ade systems.
• Ensure compliance with local and international fa ade codes, standards, and project-specific performance requirements.
• Support the project team in cost control, value engineering, and optimization of fa ade systems without compromising quality.
• Coordinate fa ade interfaces with other trades (steel, concrete, MEP penetrations, finishes).
• Mentor junior engineers, inspectors, and site teams involved in fa ade works.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in architectural or fa ade engineering roles, with at least 5 years in fa ade-specific roles on contractor side.
• Strong knowledge of various fa ade systems: curtain walls, unitized fa ades, stick systems, cladding, glazing, GRC, ACP, aluminum, stone, etc.
• Hands-on experience managing large fa ade packages on high-rise, commercial, or complex architectural projects.
• Familiarity with fa ade design, structural principles, thermal and acoustic performance, fire safety, and waterproofing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools, and fa ade-specific software (e.g., Rhino, Grasshopper, or related).
• Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of international fa ade standards and testing protocols (ASTM, AAMA, CWCT, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience on landmark or high-rise projects.
• Familiarity with sustainable fa ade solutions and green building standards (LEED, IGBC, etc.).
• Experience with fa ade access systems, maintenance, and long-term performance considerations.
• BIM coordination and clash detection capabilities.
