Title: Senior Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) Specialist


Job Description:


1. Role Summary

The Senior Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing all AWP-related activities across the programs governed by the Coordinating PMC (cPMC). The specialist will ensure that AWP principles are fully embedded across the planning and execution functions, ensuring readiness, coordination, and traceability across all projects.


2. Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the implementation of the Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) strategy across all managed programs.
  2. Support Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams in integrating AWP into project planning and execution.
  3. Provide guidance and subject matter expertise on the definition and development of CWAs, CWPs, and IWPs.
  4. Coordinate with discipline leads to ensure that project deliverables are structured and aligned to support AWP.
  5. Review and validate the IWP development process including sequencing, status tracking, and readiness verification.
  6. Monitor project-specific AWP plans and ensure compliance with overall AWP strategy and workface planning practices.
  7. Develop and maintain reporting systems that monitor the AWP implementation progress across programs.
  8. Support the setup of construction readiness tracking tools and KPIs, integrated with Power BI dashboards.
  9. Interface with the client and PMC teams to report on AWP progress, risks, and mitigation plans.

3. Qualifications and Experience
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 10 years experience in construction planning, with at least 5 years in AWP implementation.
  3. Demonstrated experience in developing and managing CWPs and IWPs on large-scale industrial projects.
  4. Strong understanding of planning systems such as Primavera P6, and construction progress tracking tools.
  5. Experience with data reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI) and digital construction readiness systems.
  6. Excellent communication skills with ability to lead AWP workshops, interface with multiple stakeholders, and train project teams.
