Job summary

SAUDI ARABIAN RESOURCES COMPANY is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead the preparation of monthly and annual IFRS financial statements and present findings to the CEO. The role includes reconciling ledgers with inventory records, ensuring VAT and withholding tax compliance, and coordinating with external auditors.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of accounting experience with at least 3 in a supervisory role, deep IFRS knowledge, and fluency in English and Arabic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university.
• Professional certification such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA is required.
• At least 10+ years of accounting experience with 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi Arabian tax laws including VAT and withholding tax.
• Experience in mining industry.
• Experience in inventory accounting within mining or industrial sector.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as Odoo, Jisr.
• Fluency in English and Arabic language is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and present to CEO for review.
• Reconcile ledger balances with physical vault inventories on a weekly basis.
• Ensure timely filing of VAT returns and withholding tax declarations per ZATCA regulations.
• Act as primary liaison for external auditors and facilitate annual and interim audits.
• Supervise accounting team by assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing guidance on accounting standards.
• Design and monitor internal control procedures to protect company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Analyze operational costs to identify variances and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Manage bank reconciliations and support cash flow forecasting for liquidity.
• Oversee integration of financial data from operational systems into the ERP for accurate reporting.
• Develop and update accounting policies and procedures to reflect changes in operations and regulations.
