Job description

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Senior Accountant General to join our client’s company in Riyadh.

  • Handling accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness, including auditing master records and transactional data.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions.
  • Monthly review of general ledger for month-end close to ensure transactions are properly recorded for financial statement preparation.
  • Recommends, reviews, and monitors compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Prepares, monitors, and interprets monthly financial reports and analyses.
  • Responsible for all supervisory duties of the General Accounting.
  • Assist in the completion of the agency’s independent audit.
  • Prepares and oversees the preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Executing accounting data to internal tax accountant as necessary for corporate income tax filings.
  • Review and approve bank reconciliations, intra-company reconciliations, and other month-end general ledger reconciliations.
  • Review and approve journal entries to ensure proper general ledger and closing.
  • Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances.
  • Generate and distribute account management reports and Financial Statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Perform accounting analysis for cash accruals, account payables, account receivables, reconciliations, and foreign exchange.
  • Support Auditor in conducting internal and external audits.
  • Assist in tax preparation and filing activities.
  • Perform accounting analyses and reporting to support decision-making purposes.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits.
  • Process, review, and monitor Expected Credit Losses Provisions (ECL) as per the IFRS.
  • Monthly review of the fixed assets registers and all transactions (Addition, retirement, depreciation, etc.) are properly recorded for financial statement preparation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a General Accountant.
  • Excellent level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent level in other Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with SAP and other ERPs.
