Job summary

Savills Middle East is seeking a diligent Senior Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle for our Saudi property management portfolio. You will handle client accounting, invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and statutory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of real estate accounting, strong Excel skills, and working knowledge of KSA VAT, ZATCA invoicing, and IFRS. Based in Riyadh with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, ideally including real estate or property management in KSA or GCC.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of KSA VAT, ZATCA e-invoicing, and IFRS.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for assigned properties, including GL maintenance, journal entries, and month-/year-end closing.
• Prepare and issue rent and service charge invoices in line with lease terms and ZATCA e-invoicing requirements.
• Monitor accounts receivable, maintain aged debt reports, allocate receipts, and flag arrears for escalation.
• Process accounts payable for property-related expenditure, verify invoices against contracts and budgets.
• Perform bank, client account, and intercompany reconciliations; ensure client monies are handled per trust accounting rules.
• Support service charge accounting, including budget uploads, expenditure tracking, accruals, and year-end reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly client financial reports, including income statements, variance analysis vs. budget, and cash flow summaries.
• Ensure VAT, withholding tax, and Zakat compliance; assist audits with documentation and analysis.

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the financial management of our property management portfolio in Saudi Arabia. This role covers the full accounting cycle for managed assets, including client accounting, rent and service charge invoicing, collections reporting, reconciliations, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for assigned properties, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare and issue rent and service charge invoices in line with lease terms, ensuring compliance with ZATCA e-invoicing requirements.
• Monitor accounts receivable and support collections by maintaining aged debt reports, allocating receipts, and flagging arrears for escalation.
• Process accounts payable for property-related expenditure, verifying supplier invoices against contracts, purchase orders, and approved budgets.
• Perform bank, client account, and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring client monies are handled in line with trust accounting requirements.

• Prepare monthly client financial reports, including income statements, variance analysis against budget, and cash flow summaries.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, ideally including experience in real estate or property management in KSA or the GCC.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential; experience with ERP or property management systems (e.g., Yardi, Oracle, SAP) is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of KSA VAT, ZATCA e-invoicing, and IFRS is required.
• Fluency in English is essential, both spoken and written; Arabic is highly preferred.
• Based in Riyadh, with occasional travel to managed assets within the Kingdom as required.
• Valid driving licence and reliable transportation.
